I am getting a late start in praying my
rosary tonight. So sweet dreams!
Defended the brother of an old friend, which
I hope he will become a new friend. Why
do people have to harshly judge others? Why
do they have to make assumptions and
harshly judge people based on gossip and lies?
I know what it is like to be harshly judged like
that and I refuse to judge any other human
being the way I have been judged in my lifetime.
People listening to what others said about me,
but not taking the time to talk to me in person
and look into my eyes. To give me a chance to
defend myself. People accuse me of having
blinders on. I don’t have blinders on. I just
choose as a Catholic to believe the best in
people. To forgive them as I want Christ
to forgive me. We are told to judge others
the way we want to be forgiven. That always
hasn’t worked out for me, but I must keep
practicing that, as I believe it to be true.
Maybe someday, God will bless me, and
people will show me mercy as I show them.
To not beat someone over the head with
their mistakes, but to love them uncondtionally
and to not expect an apology, but just wanting
them to do right and correct the mistake and
then never talking about the past mistake
again. Isn’t that the kind of love Christ Jesus
has for us?
We all make mistakes. We learn and then do
the right thing. It is called redemption. It is
being given another chance.
I refuse to treat others the way they have
treated me. I choose to believe the best in
the people I hold dear as friends. Just because
I am loyal to my friends and unconditonally love
and trust them doesn’t mean I am stupid or an
idiot. It means I am learning to love others as
Christ loves us. Christ died for our sin, while
we were still sinners. Who am I to throw stones
on a man when he is already hurting? I won’t!!
I will not ever change. Those who take the time
to get to know the real me, will find that I am
a rare jewel. They will value me. I will continue
to defend this person.
