ST FRANCIS OF ASSISI
“What wonderful majesty! What stupendous condescension! O sublime humility! That the Lord of the whole universe, God and the Son of God, should humble Himself like this under the form of a little bread, for our salvation.”
I love St. Francis. I think that is why I chose St Francis in Maine. In the yearbook for 1976 we posted the Praises of God in His creation. I am not going to post the whole thing here. I loved St. Francisl. When we lived in playa del Ray I was given the book St. Francis and the animals. I loved that book. I wore it out I read it so much. Don’t know if one can still buy a copy of it, but it led me to the spiritual path I am on.
” Praise to thee, my Lord for Sister Moon and the stars which thou hast set in the heavens, clear precious, and fair.
Praise to thee, my Lord for Brother Wind, for air and cloud, for calm and all weather, by which thou supportest life in all they Creatures.” ( St Francis of assisi)
They put about three pictures of me in the yearbook. I am told I have pretty eyes. I used to walk on the beach and enjoyed the ocean so much. I am shy and old fashion which they didn’t mind. I wouldn’t go to the bobys dorms ecept on very rare occations when they were having a big party and everyone was there. I had a lot of good times there. We were a party school. We have pictures of parties, dances, and just partying.
It is to bad that it was sold and is no longer there. We have a lot of happy memories. I am glad I got to go to Catholic school. The student body was half from MA and the other half New York/ New JErsy. My good friends were all from MA though. I think there is a difference between New York and Boston. At least my dad always said there was and of course he liked Boston better, lol.
I wonder if there are still small Catholic schools left or have they all been closed? It is to bad, as we were a very close knit group.
I sometimes wonder what happen to everyone.
Anyway, my friend quoted St. Francis and it got me looking at my old yearbook.

Jefferson Starship- miracles
This song played over and over in the girls dorm as Margie from New York played the record over and over.
Of course I played Jackson Brown for everyman.
Hope everyone is having a good night.
Love and blessings
