Nancy Pelosi on Abortion: Catholic Church‘s ’Conscience Thing’ Puts Women at Physical Risk
Nancy Pelosi’s recent comments about the Catholic Church and its stance on contraceptives and abortion are creating quite a stir.
It’s no secret that the relationship between the Obama administration and the Catholic Church is frosty at best. Among those issues creating angst between the two parties is the notion that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (also known in conservative circles as “Obamacare”) would require health care plans to provide coverage for controversial contraceptives or provide taxpayer-funded abortions.
The Catholic Church, among other faith groups, would like to see the “conscience rights” of health care providers protected, should they decline to refer, provide or pay for abortions or contraceptives that could cause abortions.
This morning, Bishop William Lori, Chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, appeared on Fox and Friends to discuss his belief that religious freedom is under attack. “We certainly are experiencing right now some immediate and palpable threats to religious freedom,” he explained.
“Catholic hospitals, catholic charities, our schools, provide first-rate services, and I believe it’s the duty of government to accommodate our religious beliefs and convictions and allow us to perform those services according to our own light, even when we are engaged in a government contract,” he continued. Pelosi’s comments on the matter — which continue to paint the Church in a negative light — are not likely to improve the administration’s standing among faith leaders.

The thing that really gets me upset with the Catholic church is that people like Nancy can declare themselves as devout and good Catholics, when they oppose the teachings of our church. They can vote for abortion as people in Congress and our government, and publically go against the teachings of the church that declare abortion to be the murder of the unborn child and a mortal sin if you vote for take part of abortions be performed. Yet, no church discipline. Like always the church will do nothing to reign in these Catholics who have total disregard for the teachings of our faith, but only are Catholics by tradition and culture and not for FAITH.
Maybe their parents or grandparents were true Catholics, but the children and grandchildren are only socially Catholics who disregard the faith and put their political views over their Catholic faith.
Our Catholic faith should come first over our political views and Party. Yet, Democrats who are progressive who happen to be Catholic put their Catholic faith last in their lives. They openly defy the church and our Pope and still claim to be good Catholics who they think they can lead down the path to being good Catholics. WRONG, they are only leading people down the path of HELL. You either follow Christ and put him number one in your life, or you reject Christ and put your Progressive Democrat Socialist view as first. I choose Christ first and foremost over political views. I reject both White Nationalism and Progressive Socialism as evil. I am a free market Capitolist and not a crony capitiolist as some people are, who lie and say they are free market capitolists who are in fact crony capitiolists who take large sums of tax payer money for their failing investments, knowing that it is insider trading, and may not be against the Law, but is morally wrong. How do people like Nancy sleep at night? Knowing that they lie and steal. Lying and stealing are against the teachings of the Catholic church and are based on the 10 commandments. I think that people of all faiths can agree that lying and stealing are wrong. Yet, they will continue to be evil because they know they can do anything they want and get a way with it. Our government Leaders LIE, CHEAT, and DISTORT TRUTH AND JUSTICE, and THEY DON’T CARE, ABOUT THE EFFECT THEIR ACTIONS HAVE ON THE COUNTRY OR THE AMERCIAN PEOPLE. Just as long as they get their money and power, they don’t care that they had to sell their soul to the devil. I choose good. So I reject any political power.
I don’t trust Nancy or anything she says. She is another liar like Obama. Maybe that is why they get along so good, as they are both lying scumbags.
Please in 2012 vote for moral character and not the liars.
This is why it’s important to shout from the mountain-tops that actions speak louder than words, to point out that Hitler called himself a Catholic, too, and to tell everyone you know, and to encourage them to shout it from the mountain-tops, too.

Glad you posted. yes, I have seeen that. It is cute and catchy. lol. Sadly in America we have come down to electing people based on who has the best and short slogan. Our youth are not taught Civics and true American History. They have been dumbed down to care more for Kim and Kris and their marrage and divorce after only 72 days and other Hollywood gossip. Yet, to hear about real news like the British embassy being taken over by so called students in Iran and 6 hostages being held or that the Euro is about to colaspe, which will effect the whole world is silent. How many women will come forward to say that Cain made a pass at them is more important to our media then the corruption of Obama and his Administration or that Holder is a very corrupted man and should either be fired or encouraged to resign.
Sorry that your house hasn’t sold yet. Houses are slow to sell here too. I will say a prayer for you tonight when I pray my rosary tonight.
Go for one of the shots in my neck this morning. I have a driver to drive as they give me something to make me relax to the point they can stick this long needle in my neck so that I don’t move. So I have to have someone to drive me home.
Getting the house decorated for Christmas. Got the indoor finished, and will work on the outside this weekend. I got a wreath on the front door and I want to put another wreath in front of the house. May see how expensive the solar powered lights are. If they are reasonable then I will get a set to put out.

We are off to the bush from the 21st till the 9th of Jan, we decided not to put out tree up at home this year but will create a bush tree from the goodies we pick up in the bush, a pine cone or dried flower will be lovely. We have to take the kids pets too! 2 chickens and 9 chicks, a duck and whatever else is running about!
Hope the medical procedure is a success, my mother had her neck vertebra fused, so I can imagine your pain.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Your idea of a wild Christmas tree is great. The kids will love it. The pets sound interesting. Animals are so much fun and give so much love. My Benji is very loving and makes us laugh.
I prayed for you last night when I prayed my rosary. I would encourage you to seek guidence from the Lord. It is between you and the Lord what you believe and not you, God or anyone else. Seek God’s wisdom and I believe he will show you what is best for Garfield and your family. God doesn’t want robots or zombies who must believe and practice that exact same thing, or there wouldn’t be different faiths and churches to choose from. It is between you and God. God loves you and your family and wants to see the best for you.
I know you have heard about the attack of the British embassy in Iran and the hostages being held. Now is the time for both of us who have ties to the UK to pray for the queen and the Prime Minister David Cameron. We must make a strong response but at the same time not do an over kill. They need our prayes and support, from all Daughters and Sons of the British Empire. For me, I always like to be in the middle of fighting for what is morally right. There is a part of me that is torn. One part wanting to move back to Scotland where my Grandfather John Cosser came from and fight to save the Scotland, Ireland, England, and Wales from having our heritiage and culture being destroyed by the radical Islams who are destroying the UK and killing off the orgianal people of the British Isles. How can I as a Daughter of the British Empire just sit back and do nothing? We Brits have a right to exist in our own lands.
I also love America and as a Political Daughter of the American Revolution, not NSDAR any longer. I also love the United States and meant the oath I took from the heart to fight for the Constitution. We too are fighting the fight of a life time, like the British Isles.
I know some people like to say that the UK is toast and there is no hope, but I know us Scots, English, Irish, and Walsh to be fighters who will fight with blood, sweat, and tears to make sure our race, culture, and heritage are not destroyed and we no longer make up the population of our own homeland. Yes, the radical Muslims are doing a good job of turning the UK into a Muslim nation and destroying the Christian nation that the British Isles was. Some of the greatest Christian leaders were from the UK. Some of the best Christian hymns were composed by people in the UK. If I can make it to Scotland, I will. Right now, I must stay here to take care of my mum. When she goes, I want to go to Scotland and help in the fight. I believe one can love to nations at one time. I also believe that both the UK and the USA will be toast if people don’t start fighting the takeover of our native lands. I encourage the Irish Americans to go back to Ireland and fight to save Ireland from being taking over my radical Islams who change Ireland into a nation that is no longer Irish. We must send our support and aid to our home nations that form the British Empire.
