PM Netanyahu Praises Beck for Defending Israel: ‘You’ve Never Flinched’
On Sunday, Glenn Beck was honored in New York City at the Zionist Organization of America’s (ZOA) Justice Louis D. Brandeis Award Dinner for his ardent defense of Israel. But the ZOA wasn‘t the only one singing Beck’s praises. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also recognized Beck’s efforts.
“I also want to congratulate Glenn Beck for winning the … defender of Israel Award,” Netanyahu said. “Glenn … you stand for a lot. You too have been fearless in defending Israel against the slanders that are hurled against [it]. You’ve done that with considerable personal cost, but you’ve never backed off, you’ve never flinched, you’ve never walked away. And I want to tell you how deeply we appreciate this stand of courage and integrity.”

I agree with the PM of Israel that Glenn Beck is a good Christian man who has courage and honor. I believe God is using Glenn Beck to wake up people to the truth. When I look at Glenn Beck I see a man who has the love and light of Christ in him. We are told that we are to be a light of Christ in the world. We must ask ourselvs if we are being good ambassors of light for Christ. When people see us do they see Christ?
My mom can no longer go to church by herself, so we have come to an arrangement of one week I take her to her church and the other week we go to the Catholic church which is my church. Yesterday we went to her church which is a nice little church. The week before we went to a Catholic church that was so busy trying to be one of the mega churches that they forgot being Catholic and the reverence. They had people walking up and down the isles talking during the service. There was talking and even though the words were the same as in all Churches, there was a circus like feel. They didn’t have missal and what they thought was important was projected on the walls. The people were nice, but they have forgotten what it is to be Catholic, and I won’t be going back. Why is it that Protestants know to turn off their cell phones and to dress modestly and Catholics have forgotten that. Why is it Protestants show more reverence for Christ and don’t talk as much as Catholics do during the mass.
It gets back to the question of why one chooses a church to be their home church. For some Catholics it is picking a social church with nice friendly people and lots of social events. The reverence isn’t important so they are happy with the circus like feel that many Catholic churches have today. The problem is that not everyone picks and likes a church that is just a social church with no substance. The more Traditonal Catholics like me feel pushed out of the church. Some quick going to church all together and only come Christmas or Easter, some go to the Eastern rite church, and some become Protestants because that church is less of a circus. Next week it is my turn again to pick a church. I am going to go back to St. Mary’s. I hope that St Mary’s will still have the feel of a traditonal Catholic church. St. Stevens and St Andrews are out. I don’t think it is asking to much to find a Catholic church where I can be fed. I am Catholic and I am not going to convert to another faith, but it might be that as long as I continue to live here, that I might attend a protestant church and only go to mine on Christmas and Easter, when I hope they loose the circus feel.
I pray my rosary everyday plus chaplets of both divine mercy and St. Michael. I read the Bible and the daily readings in my missal everyday. I am fed at home spiritually. I have online fellowship with traditional Catholics on my facebook. I guess it is my misfortune to live in a area that has these modern Catholic churches have forgotten what it means to be reverent to the Lord and to dress modestly. Why is it that Protestants and Eastern Rite women dress modestly and Catholic women think it is ok to wear short skirts and short shorts and revealing tops that show everything? Why Catholic men think it is ok wear pants so baggy that reveal their underwear or dress as if they are going to play tennis? I am not saying everyone has to wear a suit or tie or a long dress, but I am saying we should be able to dress as modestly as Prostestent and Easten Rite Catholic church. Slacks and a polo or a Hawaiian shirt for men, and woman can wear a nice dress or pants. It doesn’t have to be designer clothes, just as long as they are clean and one takes pride in wearing the best they have on Sunday. Where is the respect one wants to show Jesus by coming to mass in modest and clean clothes?
If one is not being fed at their church, then it is time to look to God and pray that he would give you wisdom of what to do. I am doing that. I know he will show me what to do about what Catholic church to go to, or if he wants me to practice my faith at home for the most part and just go once a month and let my mom have more Sundays at her church that she likes. I pray that St Mary’s hasn’t changed into a Circus, but is more traditonal. The important thing is to keep your eyes on Christ and allow yourself to be a light for Christ in the world.
We can only be lights for Jesus if we allow him to live inside our hearts.
Hope everyone has a great day.
Love and Blessings to all
