LONDON (The Blaze/AP) — The operation to evict Irish Travelers from their settlement east of London will go ahead, officials said Monday, as protesters built barricades and chained themselves to cars to stop police and bailiffs moving in.

I think the British government is wrong. I have seen the tv show and the Irish buy their own land and the city governments won’t allow them to build on their own land. They are being pushed out because no one wants the Irish in their city or town. Why is it that the Irish are looked down upon?
Is it because they want to pass their traditions and culture on to future generations? Is it because the Irish believe in traditional roles for both women and men? What is so wrong about women knowing that the most important job for a woman is to be a stay at home wife and mother? What is so offensive about thinking that the man is the protector/provider of the famiy and the woman is the heart and soul of the family who makes a house a home and is a good helpmate to the man? Children do better in a home where the mom is a stay at home mom.
I don’t know what is going to happen, but hopefully the people in the UK will stand up to the government who is trying to get rid of teh Irish.
