‘He got away lightly with suicide’: Goebbels’ secretary, 100, breaks vow of silence to reveal secrets of Hitler’s propaganda minister
The former secretary of Hitler’s propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels has broken a 66-year vow of silence to talk about her service for the man who made Germans hate the Jews.
Since the end of World War II, Brunhilde Pomsel, now 100, has refused all requests for interviews and offers to publish her memoirs.
But after five months of negotiations she has given a single interview to Bild, Germany’s biggest newspaper, in which she describes her four years as the chief secretary of the man closest to Hitler.
Hitler’s master propagandist Joseph Goebbels rabble-rousing a crowd. His secretary Brunhilde Pomsel, who has given her first interview, was employed by Goebbels from 1942 until the end of the war in May 1945Frau Pomsel describes how Goebbels’ children – the children he and his wife Magda would murder with cyanide in Hitler’s bunker in April 1945 – used to play with her typewriter on Sunday afternoons.
She reminisces about eating goose with the Reich’s propaganda minister at his island home outside of Berlin and of receiving dresses from Magda because Allied bombs destroyed her own home and everything she owned.
She took down every word that Goebbels uttered, both his private correspondence and his official orders, including those ordering round-ups of Jews in Berlin to please Hitler that the capital was becoming ‘Jew-free’

Joseph Goebbels, his wife Magda and three of their children with Adolf Hitler in the Bavarian Alps. The children would all be murdered by Magda in Hitler’s bunker in the final days of the war. She and Joseph then committed suicide.
When I thought I was a White Nationalist, I actually admired Magda. She was held out as an example of what a good White Nationalist woman was. I understood why she felt that she had to kill her children when Germany lost the war, as in her mind she thought that the Russians would do terrible things to them because of who their father was. She wanted to spare them from a fate she felt was worst then death. She loved her children. I know some would disagree with me, but the Russians raped many girls and women. Rape is a terrible thing. Those of us who have been raped and forced to have sex with someone when we say no, can understand why she thought death was better then falling into the hands of the Russians to be brutally raped.
Like most women we were raised to be good wives and mothers. To submit to the husband and obey him. Our roles were both important, but seperate. Modern woman today have no concept of how we more traditional women think. They want to be men and not women. I like being a woman, and I don’t want to be a man. I want to be a real woman who is loved and cherished by a real man, who knows how to be a good protector/provider. Who values the worth of a woman who makes his house a home. Being a housewife is a real job. It is the most important job a woman can have. Being a mother is part of why it is so important for a woman to stay home and run the household. A real man knows he must earn the trust, respect and submission of the woman he loves.
She mentions in her interview that she didn’t know about the holocaust. Some people wonder how that could be. I believe she didn’t know about it nor did the majority of the German people. Maybe a part of it is that they didn’t want to see. Some people don’t like to see the bad and only think of the good things, because if they face the truth and admit evil is going on, then they have to do something about it. To deny it helps them to justify why they don’t fight against the evil. Plus you add she is a woman, who are not told everything. It is so easy to get caught up in the excitment, that before you know it, you are cheering and caught up in the madness.
I saw a documentary about Hitler and why he lost the war. Hitler wouldn’t listen to this German generals. He liked to sleep and ordered no one to disturb him when sleeping. It talked about D day and the German generals needed his permission to fight a good defense, but that Hitler was sleeping and by the time he woke up, it was to late. He wouldn’t let them build the airplanes that the German airforce wanted, he would make one order, recind it and then re-order them to do the first order again. Hitler was a good speaker. He was able to charm people with his words and that is how he gained power. Yet, inside of him, he was a man who had no soul.
Joseph Goebbels was the one with the brains, not Hitler. His propaganda is still being used today in White Nationalist circles. White Nationalists call it educating people to the truth. I still get nightmares over the movie he made called the eternal Jew. The format was like a news program. Yet the reality is that it wasn’t the Jews who tortured the baby calf and other animals it was the Nazi’s who did those evil deeds for the movie so that people would hate and blame the Jews for it. White Nationalists today still don’t understand that it wasn’t the Jews but the Nazi’s who made the film, who tortured the animals and that the eternal Jew is propaganda and not true news.
The radio was used very effectively, and so were the newsreels one saw at the movies. When you are isolated from the outside world and the only information you receive is progaganda one believes the lies as truth.
I am sad to see that we have people growing up today who do not believe in the Holocaust. When we forget History we are doomed to repeat it. The hate is growing in the world toward Jews, Catholics, Protestants and moderate Muslims who have the courage to stand in support of Israel. I believe that if we don’t stand up now that there will be another holocuast and this time, the United States and the UK won’t be strong enough to fight against those who want to finish what Hiter started.
Will this generation of the courage of our parents generation and follow in the footsteps of those who didn’t allow themselves to be deceived into believing the Nazi propaganda as truth. Will we have the courage to support and fight along side our Jewish and Christian brothers and sisters? Will we risk our lives to save theirs?
For evil to win, it only takes good men and women to do nothing. To be in denial because they don’t want to face the fact that they have to do something to stop the evil, so they pretend evil isn’t growing in the world today. Good has become evil and evil has become good. Lies have become stronger then the truth. Good men do nothing and allow the hate to spread that has become politically correct. It is politically correct to hate, mock, and commit violence on Jews, Christians and moderate Muslims. Didn’t you know that we are evil monsters who the Progressive Democrats like to lie about? The sad thing is that many people don’t do their own homework or seek the truth and just take the propaganda that is being put out as the truth.
When I was a White Nationalist woman, I remember being told that Jews ate White children and therefore the enemy of the White race, which is what German children and women were told in Nazi Germany. Today we hear that Jews are the evil oppressors and the Islamic terrorists groups like Hamas are the innocent victims. The truth is that Hamas and the other Islamic terrorist groups continue to send deadly rockets, which the world is silent about. To tell the truth, doesn’t play into the propaganda that is being used today. Israel has a right to defend itself, but to the world today, Israel is just supposed to allow themselves to be attacked and destroyed by the Islamic terrorists who want to drive them into the ocean. Why do they get a free pass and Israel hated so much that people are silent when Muslims murder a Jewish family in cold blood, just because they are Jewish. Why do they celebrate the murder of small children? Why is the world silent when Muslim children are taught to hate Jews and Christians from the time they are babies. Yet, the world is silent about the propaganda that Muslim children are being taught as truth.
We are at the crossroads, what road will you choose? I choose to repent of my sins and choose the road of good. I choose to fight for truth, justice, and moral principles. I encourage you to pray and seek God’s wisdom as to what road he would have you walk on. Follow the example of great heroes who have walked before us. Let us develop their courage.
There is life after White Nationalism. I know what it is like to feel guilty and stupid. We all make mistakes. We all have a past. It doesn’t matter what the past is, if we reject that past, and change the path we are walking. What matters is what we do from this day forward. Are we willing to leave our family and friends we love, because we know that HATE is not the answer, but LOVE? The hardest step to take is the first step. Yes, you might be alone and hated by your WN family and friends. Are you willing to come forward and talk about your life as a White Nationalist? It doesn’t matter if you actually talk to someone, because as long as you tried and it is on them not talking to you, your heart was in the right place. I am at peace. I know I tried to talk to an old friend. By his not talking to me about White Nationalism, he has and continues to give White Nationalist a victory. Who wins by my old friend refusing to face the truth and face me, so we can talk? The White Nationalists are the ones who win. They know that they have arranged it so good, that no matter what this person won’t ever talk to me and learn about White Nationalism. He never understood that when people don’t want someone to go for help, that they will lie and make the other person look so bad that they will never talk to them and hear the truth, that they want to keep hidden. I have done no damage because they know the only person I know in real life and been formally introduced to, still refuses to speak to me. The lies became so strong that even 21 years later, he still refuses to see the real me.
My childhood hero was a fighter like me. I think one of the reasons I liked him as I saw a little of me in him. One of the reasons I still fight even though the odds are against me is because I think he would want me to. He would want me to pick up the sword and fight.
