What a wonderful and happy day. I thought Catherine looked happy and beautiful in her wedding dress. Alex McQueen did a great job. The dress was simple but classic. Willaim looked handsome in his unform. I wish the Royal Couple unconditional love, laughter, good health, and lots of children. Derserve all the happiness that life has to offer.
Some Americans don’t understand what the Royal family means to Brits and half Brits living in the United States. They are whining about the coverage and think the media should focus the other stories. I say to them, that today is a happy day for Brits and half Brits. We are celebrating Love and rejoicing in the fact that prince William found a wonderful woman to share his life with. Catherine is a stong woman who is smart, capable, and strong enough to take living in a fish bowl and having people speak and write lies about you. It takes a strong woman to be able to deal with all the comes with being in the Royal Family. I believe Catherine will be a good addition to the family. I know that Catherine will understand that if someone is worthy to be her friend then they won’t believe all that is said or written about her. They will take the time to get to know her, the real her, and talk to her, before basing judgement on hearsay and rumor. The media many times is not the source of truth. Many times they don’t take the time to do the proper research to find the truth, before printing articles on people.
Yes, the stories of our bad economy, the three wars we are fighting now, and the 2012 election will be back on the front pages tomorrow, but today isn’t it wonderful that the world celebrates love and romance? For this one day let us not be angry that love takes the front page from all the troubles we must face as a nation and a world!!! So please don’t begrudge us Brits and half Brits in America the joy of celebrating the Royal Wedding.

I proudly admit that I am one of those Americans, that as you say, who don’t care about the British royal wedding. Or for the British royalty for that matter. And that’s not the least because these “English” royals and nobility are in fact nothing more than ilks of William the Bastard, the Norman French impostor who brutally usurped the English crown, after murdering the last Anglo Saxon king Harold II at the Hastings in 1066. For as long as they have been in power, the English people have been little more than pawns and playthings for these French Plantagenet descended royalty, and England itself has been nothing more than a source of tax money to fund their disastrous military adventures like Crusades or the Hundred Years’ War. It was this royal family’s centuries of ruinous misrule that had prompted hundreds of thousands of poorest and impoverished Englishmen and women to leave their country and settle North America. And I, as an Anglo-American whose English ancestors have been forced to leave their country, have nothing but contempt towards this royalty.
You have a right to your opinion and to wish them ill will and I have a right to support the Royal Family and wish them love and happiness.
The British empire brought a lot of good in the world. This Daughter of the British Empire will continue to be proud of my roots. Why is it that Blacks, Mexicans, and other races can be proud of their roots, but those of us who are proud of our British heritage and roots are made to feel like we are terrible people because we are happy that William and Catherine are married? For me it is nice having something good to think about for a day, to take my mind off all the bad that is going on in the world, and deciding what is going to be done with my mother who is in the hospital. All the problems will still be there tomorrow.
So you keep your contempt and hate, and I will keep my love and loyality.

Like our President, who also hates the British Empire and offend Brits by sending back the bust of Winston Churchill who was one of the greatest men who ever lived; you spew your hate. You choose hate. You Progressives don’t even see how much hate you have in your heart for others. You swear at them, I see people write how they wish this Conservative or Repubiican dies a terrible death, and you don’t even see the hate in your hearts that you hold for Brits, Conservatives, and Jews and Catholics. Like Progressives I am sure you also hate Israel and have taken the side of the Muslim Brotherhood like Obama and our stupid government who thinks getting us in a third WAR is a good thing. They don’t have the courage to even tell the truth that we are in a WAR. They use double speak so as to confuse people. AT LEAST THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT IS HONEST TO THEIR PEOPLE ABOUT WHY THEY FEEL THEY MUST GO INTO LIBYA. The British empire did a lot of good in the world. They brought civilization and education to the world. If it hadn’t been for the British the world would be uneducated and not have the techonology that we have today. It was the British who built the world and gave us LAWS that many nations base their Laws on.
The Royal Family do a lot of good in this world. They give to a lot of charity and HRH Prince Charles does a lot of work for the environment and organic farming. He is very smart and has been a big help in bringing the UK into more a ” Green” society. The Brits are doing great things in terms of Green technology and are much further along then the States are.
HRH William is still young, but I know that he will do great things as well. He will find the issues that are important to him and he will make a great deal of difference for good. His Wife Catherine will find what issues are important to her and she will achieve a great deal of good in her life for others. They are the future and I believe the British people will continue to love and support them in the coming days as they start their new life together. We want them to be happy. We went them to succeed. As it is good for the UK.

The monarchy is archaic, outdated, irrelevant to the greater good of the English people. It is like disney world, just a tourist attraction to foreigners, but to the Brit it is a source of confussion, division and classism. I am a commoner in the eyes of the royals, I work hard and am proud to be an Englishman, I cannot say the same for the monarchy, the good they do is too late for the common man. They are leeches, opinionated, outdated and should be removed. Oliver Cromwell chopped off Charles I head, but sadly he (Cromwell) couldn’t hold it together.
A new “Cromwell” will rise and once again purge the UK of the monarchy, it may be too late for the common man but a new order will arise from the ashes of multi cultural UK.

this is one issue that we have to agree to disagree on. I am a loyalist. My family was in the English court. On my mom’s side the younger son of a Lord came to America as in those days the older son inherited the title and everything. He came to CT in the 1600′s after the Mayflower and was one of the Founding leaders of the town they lived in. Litchfield, CT is where they came to. We were loyalists.
In the American Revolution Jesse Buell fought for the American side. Therefore I was in the NSDAR and my mother still is. I gave up on them,as they don’t see the need for us Daughters to stand up to the corruption. They just want to pretend that this is the same government that our founding fathers founded. I know in my heart that our ancestors would want us to fight and stand up to those who lie and by their behavior have corrupted the process.
The british government has had my loyality over the American Government since 1972 since they saved my dad’s life, when the American government told him to go to hell. Then my old experence when asking someone who was in government for help and being told that it wasn’t his problem, which is the same thing as telling me to go to hell, was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Even after those two times of being told to go to hell by the American government, I tried giving them one more try. I don’t have any faith or trust that the third time, they care enough to help. I am at the point where I did the right thing and it is in the person’s hands I sent the picture to. It is up to him to solve the riddle now.
I want to go to the Uk and help make the UK a better place. I think there is a better chance to save the UK then to save the United States. the United States is LOST, because the PEOPLE HERE ARE COWARDS WHO CONTINUE TO VOTE FOR LEADERS WHO LIE TO THEM, TAKE BRIBES TO PERVERT JUSTICE, AND CORRUPT THE POLITICAL SYSTEM. I give up. We have a press who doesn’t stand up to the corruption and the elected leaders who LIE, ARE CORRUPTED, AND PERVERT THE SYSTEM. THEY COVER UP FOR THEM. THEY DON’T TELL THE TRUTH. THEY JUST TELL THE PARTY LINE. THEY ARE USELESS TOO.
The royal family does alot for the UK. They give a lot of their money to charity and they give money to the people. The people don’t pay for them. They pay for themselves out of their own pocket. It would be a mistake. As long as I am alive I will be a loyalist.
