“A true vocation is nothing other than a strong, unchanging will that the person who is called possesses, so as to want to serve God in the way and in the place where the Divine Majesty calls her.”
St. Francis de Sales
This quote came from my women in discernment group, which is a group of Catholic women who are thinking about the religious life. I need to say I am sorry for the language I used in my earlier post today as thinking about it, I sounded like cheap trailer trash. Even though it is true that our President has LIED TO US THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, it is no excuse for me to talk like I wasn’t raised a lady.
I think HIS LYING bothers me because all my life people (my parents) would tell people I was lying when I was telling the truth. I always knew I had a brother. I can’t explain how I knew, but I just knew and I would tell people I had a brother out there in the world. My parents because they didn’t want anyone to know that my dad had a son from a first marriage told the neighbors that I WAS LYING. I come home from school one day and there is my BROTHER and his wife sitting in the living room. You tell me who was LYING AND WHO WAS TELLING THE TRUTH. Because they didnt’ want the world to know something I was made out to be lying when I wasn’t.
I feel very strongly that a President must have honor. HOW CAN A PRESIDENT HAVE ANY HONOR IF HE LIES? How can Progressive Democrats believe him in this second campaign when he lied in the first? I really hope that Democrats will find the honor and courage to run people against him and find another candidate to run against us Republicans in 2012 for the good of the country. This nation can’t take four more years of Obama who lies. Americans don’t respect him and will never respect him, because he LIED TO THEM, HAS CONTINUED THIS SPENDING SPREE AND EVEN TAKEN IT TO NEW HEIGHTS, AND HE IGNORES THE WILL OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. He won a nobel peace prize, yet he is not a President who has brought us peace, but has added another WAR on top of the two we are fighting now. It is a war, inspite of how he is trying to use double speak to deny the fact that we are fighting a war in Libya now.
He has taken away more of our rights, and has gone beyond Bush in saying that the government can hold people even though they have been found innocent by an American court for as long as they want. The world doesn’t respect Obama either.
I don’t know who we Republicans will choose to run against Obama in 2012. I hope we Republicans are smart and will choose a candidate who is honest, honorable, intelligent, and who has the courage to tell the American people the truth and trusts us to be adult enough to work together as one country to solve the problems. Obama is dividing this country even more.
I know it is hard to believe this, but I wanted obama to succeed. He didn’t earn my respect or vote, but I wanted him to succeed because he was from Hawaii. He went to the same school as my nephew and I wanted him to do good. The reality is that he is not qualified to be President as it shows through more and more each day. He ran to soon. He should have at least finish one term in the senate, but I have come to the conclusion that one should be a governor before being President because that experience in running a state helps prepare a man/woman more then being in the Senate when the Congress is so disfunctional.
I have always loved politics and I think I always will.
Sometimes I wonder how we as Americans can work together when we hear demigoding and making it seem like Republicans and Conservatives are evil racists. I think it is sad that Progressive radio can’t talk about the issues without bashing Republicans. I wish Conservative radio could talk about the issues without bashing Democrats. I wish both sides could find a way to be civil with each other and quit this demigoding of the issues. We are all Americans.
Yes, I think John Adams was right when he said that he had concern about political parties dividing us to the point that we quit one country of Americans doing what is best for the country. He felt that if the political parties gained to much power that they would politicalize everything and that we would not deal with the real issues facing us as a country. That is what exactly happen.
Reagan and Tip O’Neil would be civil to each other after they had fought for the issues they believed in all day. They would share drinks and tell Irish stories and laughed together. They liked each other personally, even though O’Neil was a Democrat and Reagan was a Republican. I don’t know if it is possible for us to do that anymore with the HATE THAT SPEWS FROM PROGRESSIVES AND SOME REPUBLICANS.
I am still willing to work with any Republican on the issues I agree with them on. I am still willing to work with any Progressive on the issues of the environment, green technology, and updating our energy grid so that it will handle green renewable fuel sources. I will work with any Progressive to stop mountaintop removal mining, to ban nuclear power, and any other green issue.
I still hope that someday we will find a way to put all the hate, misunderstanding behind us and move forward stronger because we realize that all people connect in one area or another. We need to find a way to love each other better. I still feel that the Lord wants me to reject all HATE and to fill my head with things that are postive and LOVE.
I am sorry, but I tend to be open and honest with how I feel. I don’t respect President Obama and I don’t follow him. I don’t follow leaders who LIE TO ME. HOW CAN I FOLLOW HIM WHEN I DON’T BELIEVE A WORD HE SAYS. ONCE LEADERS LOOSE THE TRUST OF THEIR PEOPLE THEY NEVER GET THAT TRUST BACK.
Chrisy, why not open a coffee and muffin thread were we can just chat. Respect to your posts but I have no religious insight nor US political insight.
Just a thought.
