Olbermann Names Bristol Palin ‘Worst’ Person Because of Abstinence Ad
Keith Olbermann went after Bristol Palin last night for an “old” abstinence ad. I was going to write my own quip-laden post about it, but sometimes you shouldn’t be afraid to credit someone who already has some great things to say.

Viewers of Countdown might have thought they had tuned in to a rerun tonight, as host Keith Olbermann pegged his retrofitted “Worst Persons in the World (Not Really)” award to a two-week-old abstinence and safe sex PSA starring Bristol Palin and Jersey Shore’s “The Situation.”
Worse than that, though, Olbermann criticizes perhaps the only redeeming thing about the cringe-worthy spot, and makes a tone-deaf comparison to George W. Bush and 9/11.
Olbermann is seriously in need of some catchup. Not only is the PSA in question old-ish news, but after watching a clip from the spot, he exclaims “She’s the Candies spokesperson for abstinence?”
Actually, she has been for a year-and-a-half, now. Also, we have a black President.
While Olbermann mocks Palin, she actually seems like the perfect person to advocate for abstinence: she knows what happens when you don’t practice it. Far from being mocked, she should be commended

Why do people on the Left don’t see that they spew HATE just as much as the people they accuse of being RACISTS? HOW CAN THEY CONTINUE TO JUSTIFY THEIR HATE?
Bristol Palin is a woman and she should be the one to choose if she wants to wait until she meets the right man who loves her and wants to marry her and not be mocked by some Progressive man because of her choice. PROGRESSIVES LIKE OLBERMANN LIKE TO SAY IT IS ALL ABOUT WOMEN’S CHOICE WHEN IT COMES TO HAVING AN ABORTION AND KILLING THE LIFE OF THE UNBORN CHILD IN THE WOMB, BUT IF A WOMAN CHOOSES TO WAIT UNTIL MARRIAGE BEFORE HAVING SEX SHE IS MOCKED, LAUGHED AT, HATED, AND HELD IN CONTEMPT. SHAME ON YOU MR. OLBERMANN FOR BEING A HYPROCRIT.
Bristol Palin is a young woman of courage. We all make mistakes in our lives Mr. Olbermann, but I guess like other Progressives I have had the misfortune of meeting in my life, you have one standard for you and another standard for the rest of us and being that you are so perfect you harshly condemn the rest of us who make mistakes and have to learn from those mistakes.
There are women in this country Mr. Olbermann who choose to WAIT UNTIL WE MEET THE RIGHT MAN WHO WE CAN MARRY AND BECOME A FAMILY WITH. WE WANT TO WAIT BECAUSE SEX IS NOT JUST SEX TO US BUT SEX IS WHAT BRINGS AND KEEPS LOVE IN A MARRIAGE. SEX IS MAKING LOVE AND BECOMING ONE WITH THE MAN YOU LOVE AND WHO LOVES YOU. WE DON’T WANT TO GIVE OURSELVES TO SOMEONE WHO DOESN’T LOVE US ENOUGH TO MARRY US AND MAKE SURE THAT WE ARE NOT IN SIN. I DON’T WANT TO SIN BUT WAIT UNTIL THE TIME IS RIGHT. There are old fashion women in this world, though I admit our numbers of getting smaller every year and are becoming a rare jewel in this world, who support Miss Palin’s right to decide who and when she will give herself to in sex. Mr. Olbermann I have to believe that there are still men in this world who value a woman who is not slutting around like so many of the women do today who go to bars and go home and have sex with someone they meet at a bar. They meet men and on the first day have sex with them, they sleep with married men and what is worst sleep with their friend’s man when she is finished sleeping with him. They don’t respect themselves so young men today think all women are sluts.
I know the modern woman of today will be like Mr. Olbermann and condemn Bristol Palin only because she is Sarah Palin’s daughter. I know what it is like to be judged NOT on what I do but because of what my mother does. Miss Palin has received death threats from the so called HATE FREE PROGRESSIVES IN THIS NATION. WHY ARE PROGRESSIVES SO BLINDED BY THEIR HATE OF THOSE OF US WHO WANT TO WAIT UNTIL WE MARRY BEFORE HAVING SEX WITH A MAN?
AGAIN I ASK THE QUESTION WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PROGRESSIVES WHO SPEW HATE TOWARD US OLD FASHION GIRLS BECAUSE WE WOULD VALUE AND RESPECT OURSELVES ENOUGH NOT TO SLEEP AROUND AND HAVE SEX OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE AND THOSE WHITE NATIONALISTS WHO HATE JEWS SO MUCH THAT THEY WOULD CHEER AND ROOT THAT IRAN AND THEIR MUSLIM FRIENDS ATTACK AND BRING THE UNITED STATES TO OUR KNEES?
HATE IS HATE MR. OLBERMANN AND YOUR HATE IS ONE REASON WHY I DON’T WATCH YOUR SHOW. I TRY NOT TO WATCH OR LISTEN TO MEDIA THAT IS NOTHING MORE THEN HATE MEDIA AND DOESN’T EDUCATE ME ON THE ISSUES.
The media in this nation that you are part of Mr. Olbermann doesn’t educate us on the issues without allowing your hate for us Republicans to come through. You don’t even seperate that there are Republicans like myself who fight for the environment and are members of groups who fight for environment and green issues. With you Progressives it is Republicans deny climate change is real and are the number one enemy of the environment. Do you think it would kill the American media to be more like the UK and talk about the issues with facts and keep Republicans out of the discussion? Do you think you can have a show where you aren’t bashing Republicans?
Bristol Palin’s only crime is that she is a Republican who has a mother name Sarah Palin and who because of her christian faith wants to wait until marriage before having sex.

There are a lot of girls and women who want to wait until marriage before having sex. Not all men are like you who will mock us, but I believe that there are real men left in the world who want a woman who DOESN’T SLEEP AROUND WITH MEN BEFORE MARRIAGE, BUT WAITED UNTIL SHE WAS WITH THE MAN WHO VOWS TO LOVE, HONOR, PROTECT AND PROVIDE FOR HER AS SHE VOWS TO LOVE, HONOR, OBEY AND SUBMIT TO HIM. I believe in old fashion vows. Though it is getting harder to find a real man like my grandfather, I haven’t give up my hope of someday meeting the man that the Lord has chosen to be my husband. Who will love the Lord first and have a strong Catholic faith so that I know that he is leading me in the right direction as head of the family. I want a man who has a very strong Catholic faith who prays his rosary everyday and wouldn’t laugh at me because I try and live my Catholic faith everyday and not just Sundays.
Men today seem to be weak and lack real courage. They demand respect BUT DON’T EARN RESPECT. MEN LIKE MY GRANDFATHER KNEW THAT THEY MUST FIRST PROVE TO THE WOMAN THAT THEY COULD BE TRUSTED AND DEPENDED UPON. My grandfather met my grandmother on the boat coming from the British Isles. I am a lot like her. Like me she wanted to go home to the UK and live. My grandfather who made up his mind that he was going to marry my grandmother and make her his wife followed her, married her and brought her back to Boston where she lived until she died. Men today would have just let her go and not do what was needed to make her his wife. Men today are weak and allow women to walk all over them. I don’t like weak men.

The reason they are mocking Bristol Palin is because she had a baby out of wedlock while still in high school with her boyfriend.

I understand she had a baby. I still think Bristol Palin is a young woman of courage. She learned the hard way and she is trying to help others not fall for the same lines and find themselves facing what she faced. I believe she is honest and sincere and she deserves our respect and not our mocking her.
I agree with you that men who don’t want to marry a slut should act in such a way as the nice girl can respect and admire him. I knew young Catholic men who were waiting for the right girl and were not having sex before marriage. We all hung out together. There are men who want to give the same gift to their future wives that some girls want to give to their future husbands.
It is wrong that Bristol Palin is judged by people by how they view her mother and not by what she does. I know what it is like to be judged by your mother and to be hated because people hate your mother. I am nothing like my mom and maybe Bristol is nothing like Sarah. We should be allowed to be our own person.
