My Thoughts for Monday

My Thoughts for Monday

In a couple of hours my good friend is going to pick me up and drive me to the hospital where they will do a biopsy on my thyroid.  Last night as I was playing and cuddling with Benji my sweet toy poodle, I thought if everything turns out ok, that I would work to get back in shape and get more healthy.  It would be another chance to get things right for a change in my life.

I am very sorry to hear about the death of Senator Robert Byrd died.  He lived a good long life and got to do many great things.  One of the memories that I will have of Senator Byrd is that he wrote about the History of the Senate which I enjoyed reading.  American History is a subject I have always loved to study.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and with his Senate friends and staff, who are missing and grieving for their loved one.

When one is faced with maybe having the big C, when thinks about life and death.  I have made so many stupid mistakes in my life.  Being very trusting, I always trust and love uncondtionally until that person shows me they can’t be trusted; and by then I have usually been taken for a ride.  Inspite of everything, I love the United States of America and try my best to live by what I learned the many years I was a member of the NSDAR.  God, Country, Family is still a motto very dear to my heart.  Meaning every word of the American creed we would say at the beginning of our meeting with my hand over my heart and looking at the American flag.  I must do what I believe is an moral imperative.

Today I heard on the radio that many Americans do not know the reason why the 4th of July is celebrated.  If that is truly the case than we have failed as daughters to bring that love of country into the hearts of the next generation so they can pass that love of nation down to the generation following them.  I remember all the work we did trying to work with the schools to teach the youth American History.  Why is it that so many think the 4th of July is just another holiday from work with fireworks?

The past few days I have been feeling depressed like I didn’t belong anywhere.  I don’t belong with the Republicans because they are to White Nationalist for me.  It doesn’t look like I belong with the Democrats because they seem to like to mock Catholics/Christians and my Catholic faith is very important to me.  I do believe in seperation between church and state, but at the same time I don’t believe in making people who do follow the Catholic/Christian faith out as nuts who want Jesus to destroy the planet because of a gay parade.  The Jesus I was taught about in the Catholic church is a loving God who wants to help men and not a God who wants to destroy the very creation that he loves.  Yes, there are fringe Christians who might say mean and hateful things but that is not the Christianity that most Americans follow.  Instead of lumping together Christians and making us all out to be evil racists who hate people and want God to destroy the planet and the human race, than you should single that person out as a person and not a Christian.  What really makes me angry is when other so called Catholics and Christians lump all Christians together as crazy nut jobs and mock their own faith.  If I was to mock other religions like Democrats mock Catholics/Christians than I would be called out to the carpet, yet because it is pc to make Catholics/Christians out as crazy nuts who hate, people laugh.  I will continue to pray for those who mock our Catholic faith.

God gives us free will.  HE is not going to force anyone to do anything they don’t want to do.  It might grieve him when he sees us do things, but he will never send the bolt of lighting down to strike us because he has given us free will.  God didn’t want robots he wanted human beings who could think and make up their own minds.

Yet, sin does exist.  Greed is a sin.  It just seems that one is not allowed to speak of sin.  Sin is a terrible thing because it not only hurts us but others as well.  If we live in a world, which we do, where greed is so power that men and women will do anything to gain wealth, power, and all that go along with that; then they think nothing of destroying the mountains by blowing the tops off them for coal, or digging for oil in places they shouldn’t be digging oil in, and to only blame one side while ignoring the sin of the other side who worked hand in hand with the companies is WRONG!! BOTH POLITICAL PARTIES were on the take and for their GREED allowed companies to do things that were and are WRONG!!!

So here I am again feeling like I did in jr. high and high school that I don’t belong with any group.  So I continue to stand alone just trying to do the best I can.  My faith is very important to me, and so even though I know I will continue to fall into sin, I will strive to be a good Catholic in good standing.  I think God looks at our heart unlike many human beings do; who only look at the outside and what that person can give them.  God looks at the heart and loves us inspite of our weakness.

I was reading in my devotional yesterday that I must continue to try and share God’s love with everyone who crosses my path.  I will continue to do that the best I can.  I don’t judge people because God tells me not to as the way I judge others is the way I will be judged.  I would never judge others the way I have been judged in life.  Sometimes people who have the power over someone can be wrong.  Teachers can be wrong, principles can be wrong and many times a child is branded something that they are NOT, and that label sticks with him the rest of his life and whatever chance of success that child had is null and void.

I need to go now, but whatever happens in my life, I will continue to trust in Jesus to help be bear it with a sweet, loving submissive spirit and a smile.  Whatever happens to me is because God allowed it and I must try and learn from that experience.

I hope everyone has a good day who reads this.

    David Says:

Chrisy, I hope your biopsy went well. While I have nothing against Robert Byrd(he did what everyone wants his/her senator to do-get $$$ for his state’s pet projects), I also know that he was a member of the KKK and a grand wizard, if I recall right. That’s neither here nor there now, he could have repented since then. None of us is a saint until we die.

Every time you go to confession, whether you have cancer or not, you should be remembering those times when you weren’t such a great person, but cancer certainly does magnify those events. Just know, you probably didn’t do anything any stupider than most of us…hehe…

The fact that many youth don’t know why July 4 is a holiday is no mystery…they don’t teach much history in school these days. So it’s our job to get out the word, just as we should be doing with God’s word. We should stop relying on government to do this stuff for us, and take it upon ourselves. While I lean right, I am not a Republican, nor a Democrat. Neither side represents my moral stance, so I examine both candidates very carefully. I’m registered Republican, but that doesn’t mean I won’t vote for a good solid pro-life democrat. But we need to understand what God is. He is not sweetness and candy. While I’m sure he doesn’t approve of the actions of those in the gay parade, I’m also sure he won’t strike them down, though he has in the past (Sodom and Gomorrah). He is a just judge, so just like when you came home late from a date, your mom or dad punished you for doing something you know is wrong, God will punish us for our transgressions. Not so much on earth, but in the particular judgement, we find out, heaven or hell. If heaven, we’re likely to make a detour to purgatory.

Regarding our world, we are being run by a need for energy. Both sides are aware of it, both sides are after it. Right now, coal is the cleanest, most plentiful agent we have for creating power. Oil is next. We’re not tapping nuclear (which the right has been pushing for) or solar/air/wind (which is the left’s solution) because of problems in the past with all of them. It’s not anyone’s problem it’s all our problem.

I stand with you. I might disagree on bits and pieces, but I will always live my faith, praying and trying to live the life Jesus gave me. Regarding “Judge not lest you be judged”, I think Jesus was speaking more of condemnation, for we are required to judge all the time, it’s a part of human nature. But it’s not our place or right to condemn someone. When we see someone doing wrong we should acknowledge the wrong, and try to help the wrongdoer, rather than just wag a finger at them and tell them they’re wrong.

    God bless, Chrisy.

Thank you Carrie Ann and David,

I am feeling better except for the AZ heat of 110 degrees and it isn’t even July yet. It is going to be 115 to 120 then, Yuk. I don’t do well in heat, lol.

Sen Byrd, did repent of his White Nationalist past years ago and become one of the most repsected Senators. Of course there is life after White Nationalism. We must never let anyone tell us that there is no redemption for our past sins. We all have sinned, though not the same sin.

I have come to value both of you very much and thank you for being a part of my blog. Hope you have a wonderful day.

    David Says:

So why are you so against David Duke’s attempt at the presidency? I believe he has distanced himself from his earlier errors…By the way, I’m not supporting him at all, just wondering…

I’m not so sure a Libertarian is the way to go either, just be Catholic and vote your Catholicism. Obedience to Rome is the best way to go.

    chrisy58 Says:

    David,

David Duke has not changed his ways. Inspite of what he says about being a good loyal American who loves this country and fighting to protect our heritiage and freedom. He is a traitor who has traveled to Iran and spoken to the President of Iran and he and other White Nationalists have spoken to the President of Iran and other radical Muslims who want to destroy the United States and Israel off the face of the earth. He is dangerous and because he is someone who has no feelings for others or the country of his birth( the United States) he would not care about the suffering that his muslim friends will bring to this nation if given any chance.

They both hate Israel and the Jewish state. They both hate the government of the United States and believe that our government has been taken over by Jews who want to control the world. Much of his writing is anti jewish. He hasn’t changed his spots at all.

In some ways he reminds me of Obama. They both seem to have very little heart for others who are suffering, but use that suffering to get their political goals achieved even it is is bad for the nation. Their own personal goals are more important than what is best for the United States. They both have this attitude of never let a good crisis go to waste mentality. I refer to them both now as the “tin man”.

Yes, one might be from the Democratic Party and the other from the Republican party, but they both have no heart or real love for this nation. They might be the total extreme of each other, but they both have no HEART.

Don’t let David Duke fool you or believe for one minute that White Nationalism is the way to go. I believe as a Political Daughter of the American Revolution it is my duty to find out what David Duke and the President of Iran have said to each other, what promises have they made to each other, and what each gets out of being alligned with each other.

I am an American who wants what is best for this country. I put the nation first over political party. Both the Democrat and Republican party have divided this country to the point that we get nothing really done and we are on the verge of going off the cliff of where the suffering we see now will be nothing compared to the suffering we wil have in the future if we don’t change the path we are on. Yet, those who spoke out about Bush are silent and even cheering Obama on when he does the exact same thing or even takes what Bush did a step further. Both sides of ” zombie cheerleaders” who cheer their party member on as their rights are being taken away. They believe their lies time and time again and give him a pass when another lie is exposed. Both political parties are guilty of this.

Hope you have a good day. It is going to be 112 degrees today. 115-120 is just around the corner.

Again, not supporting him at all, and I know what he is. I’m from Louisiana. But Byrd (RIP) and Duke both said that they renounced the KKK. Byrd realized he would need to temper his segregationist views, Duke has not tempered them at all. In some ways, isn’t it better to have an enemy you know rather than one who says he’s your friend?

You have a great day today, Chrisy, and God Bless the USA, especially this weekend.

I am not being fooled by the media or anyone when it comes to David Duke. Don’t forget Garfield, I have met the man at both the 2004 and 2005 Euro. I spent many years with White Nationalists and am not your typical anti.

Yes, David Duke is doing the smart thing. I have never said he was a stupid man or took him for granted. He was and is not a joke to me. He is a danger to this nation and to the rest of the world as well.

I know you Garfield and other White Nationalists support this union of White Nationalists and Muslims to destroy both the United States and Israel off the face of the earth. The difference between you and David Duke is that he was born in the United States and paints himself as a true American Patriot which is total crap. You have never been a citizen of the United States like DD has. DD is a traitor and one day if this country is going to survive as a sovereign nation founded by our Founding Fathers than we will have to FIGHT against David Duke and his White Nationalists/and there Muslim friends in the Middle East. David Duke has more international clout than American clout.

While your side has been working undercover and under the radar, the Progressives have continued to let their pride and arrogance under estimate not only David Duke and his White Natalism, but also Iran and other radical Muslims who have alligned themselves with American White Nationalist to work for your common goal.

We have Progressives who seem afraid to face the truth and embrace their destiny as having to turn into warrior mode to fight for the survival of our country. It is hard to face the truth sometimes. I know it was really hard for me to accept that the people who I thought were true American Patriots who valued truth and loved this country enough to pick up the torch of Liberty and the sword of our ancestors who walked, fought, and loved this country before us; turned out to be wimps who didn’t care about anyone but themselves. That it was all a sham. YES, that was a hard lesson to learn. But I don’t give up because I feel it is a moral imnperative to FIGHT your side Garfield. The only way the good will win over the EVIL that is coming upon us from many sides is if PROGRESSIVES FIND THE COURAGE TO REALLY LISTEN WITH AN OPEN MIND AND HEART, VALUE TRUTH AND JUSTICE OVER MONEY AND POWER, AND MOST IMPORTANT FIND THE COURAGE AND STRENGTH TO EMBRACE THEIR DESTINY. The chances of that happening are about zero to none, so your side will continue to gain strength and Progressives will continue to do make excuses why they can’t join THE POLITICAL BATTLE THAT WILL BE FOUGHT ONE DAY BETWEEN US. Instead of warriors who will fight for our survival as a nation, we have zombie cheerleaders who have allowed their own political party and view blind them to the truth that they are FAILING to PROTECT this nation and are just letting it be destroyed.

Garfield, why do you assume that obedience is blind? When I obey the Pope, and the tenets of the Catholic Church, which, by the way are the very definition of ‘infallible’, I am the furthest thing from blind. The Church does not endorse politicians, and if she ever did, that’s not something I’m required to follow.
How can an institution that God instituted be in any way fallible? If it’s fallible, it can’t be the work of God. If it’s infallible, there can be no error in its teaching.

Even with misters it is just to hot for man or beast to be outdoors to long. It seems like the Summers get hotter every Summer. Oh, how I dream of being on Cape Cod and sailing instead of melting in the AZ desert. Maybe someday I will see my beloved New England coast again.

    chrisy58 Says:

    David,

I think non Catholics have a hard time in accepting that we Catholics believe the Pope is infallible. Even Catholics can be confused on what it exactly means that the Pope is infallible. Like how non Catholics get confused about why we the Catholic church honor Mother Mary and claim we worship Mary, which isn’t the truth, we honor Mary. I remember when I was in my youth and talking to Father Enzie about the misconceptions that non Catholics have toward Catholics and our faith.

It is my understanding that the Pope is infallible on the teachings of the church and not every word that comes out of his mouth. Doesn’t the Pope tell us when the words he is speaking are infallible?

I know the the church shall prevail in the end because that is what Jesus told Peter the first Pope, when he gave Peter the keys.

I agree with you that we as Catholics must put God first in our lives and try to seek God’s wisdom so that we make smarter choices. I know that if I ever get married that I would like a man who is a strong Catholic first and foremost in his life and we would both seek God’s Will for our lives as a couple and family. God has to be the glue that holds us together. God has to come first in our lives. If we both look at our marriage as a calling of God then I believe that we will succeed in whatever He calls us to do as a team.

  16. 16
    David Says:

Chrisy, when it comes to talking about religion, Catholics and Protestants speak a different dialect. We can say the same thing and mean something else. If Protestants tried to understand what Catholics mean when they say something, they’d find out that we’re not so very different, except on a few important issues, infallibility and MAry being two of them. Infallibility only has to do with matters of faith and matters of morals. Sometimes, I think the Pope doesn’t even realize when he’s speaking infallibly. And since it was specifically defined, popes have hesitated to speak infallibly.

But we know the Church is infallible because Jesus was.

I applaud you about your attitude toward marriage. I know mine was likely on the verge of falling apart when we decidede to go with God. Our attitude is that God is with us every step of our lives. And it’s working soooo much better that way…

  17. 17

” I applaud you about your attitude toward marriage. I know mine was likely on the verge of falling apart when we decidede to go with God. Our attitude is that God is with us every step of our lives. And it’s working soooo much better that way…” (David said)

I am so happy that your marriage is doing so much better now.

I have always believed that marriage is a sacrament and a calling from God. In my youth I had thought that maybe God’s calling for me was to become a nun. I went to convent school and worked alot with the Nuns of the Scared Heart of Mary. Back then I was living in Cupertino which is in the South Bay and went to St. Joseph of Cupertino and the nuns I knew ran the elementary school there. I loved them.

Back in 1979 when we were in Germany we went to the Black Forest which is so beautiful and I felt God telling me that he wasn’t calling me to be a nun but to be a wife and mother. The funny thing is I am still waiting. Maybe I am to picky, but after learning my lesson with Jeff I won’t ever be with someone who is not a Catholic. I believe that it is better if the couple share the same faith.

Even if I didn’t get married in the Catholic Church and wanted an outdoor wedding at some romatic spot, to me that marriage would still be a sacrament. As you pointed out non Catholics do not understand our faith and because of that they tend to be judgemental toward Catholics. I believe it is only the Catholic Church who believes marriage is a sacrament, because they don’t believe in sacraments. I am not saying they don’t take marriage seriously, they just don’t believe in the Sacraments that we as Catholics believe in.

Maybe this is stupid, but I will know the right man when he doesn’t force me to sin with him, but will respect that I want to wait until being together is magical and right. I just feel that if he is a good Catholic man he would want me to wait until it was right. There are men I have known in my life who when I said no, have forced me to have sex with them anyway. They were only thinking about themselves and what they wanted and I don’t respect them. I had one man throw me out of his car when I refused to have sex with him on a date. It was dark and in and a long walk to a phone to call a friend to rescue me. One of those guys called me up the next day and said he was sorry he raped me because thinking about it he realized he had forced me when I said no. I am glad he realized the truth and I hope he didn’t rape anymore women but there was no way, I was ever going to speak or see that guy again. I had one boyfriend in high school who was a bad boy put drugs in my coke and I fainted and the only thing I remember is the family I was staying with in foster care was punishing me for taking drugs when the drugs were put in my coke without me knowing it. It seemed unfair that I was the one being punsished. He confessed later that he thought it might loosen me a little bit and he had put to much in. I have lots of stories from the time I was 11 and was fully developed.

Why is it so hard to understand that some women want to wait and save themselves for the man who they will marry before having sex? Sex = love. The Nuns always said that Sex is what brings and keeps love in a marriage. I am not a prude I just want to wait until marriage. Maybe that is why I don’t have lots of men in my life, because they know I am old fashion.

Why is it that so many men today don’t respect us old fashion women who believe one of the most important roles a woman can play is being a good wife and mother? Why is it so hard to accept that some of us believe so strongly that sex= love and that we want to save ourselves for our future husband whoever that may be?

I keep on hoping that there is a good Catholic man out there who deep down inside values a good Catholic girl. There must be someone out there who realizes that inside I have a heart of gold. I may be out of shape right now with all the stress I live under, I tend to eat. It is easier to change the outside of a person than to change the inside of a person. Plus I have always used food to build my wall so that men can’t ever hurt me again by forcing me to sin with them. I was a kid, I couldn’t drink so I tend to use food like others used booze. When I feel safe and protected, happy and loved I will be able to keep the weight off and even though I am 52 and not 17 anymore, I believe I could with loosing weight I could look good for a woman my age.

Sorry for venting, it is strange but the past week or so memories of my childhood keep coming up. Some good like Aunt Martha who gave me Catholic gifts when I was a child who planted the seed of God’s love for us and Mother Mary’s love for us. She gave me this beautiful picture of Mother Mary and I kept it for many years. I loved it, but sadly it got lost in one of my many moves. She lived in Manhattan Beach and those years of living in Playa Del Ray and keeping our boat at Marina Del Ray; I remember enjoying the wild marshes and the empty spaces before Marina Del Ray got all built up. The last time I was there I didn’t reconize the place as it was so built up.

Hope you have a nice weekend.

David you are obeying man not god, or perhaps his ‘perceived instrument’. The pope is but a man and he is fallible, hence this man led church is fallible too. I one speaks of the infallible it would take god to come down and speak the words himself, anything less is man’s manipulation or interpretation of a given scenario or re-interpretation of church doctrine, or re-clarification of the word of god.

A tree is known by its fruits, and ‘not all who call me Lord Lord will enter the kingdom except those who do the will of the father’.

Here a site for thought Chrisy,

    Comment?

    ————————————————
My comment I went to the site, but am not posting the site here on my blog, because I think it is just more White Nationalist brainwashing and I don’t want to be connected in anyway with that site, so I didn’t post it.

It is more conspiracy theories. Your side just loves to make assumptions and it is one conspiracy theory after another.

I don’t believe that the Catholic church is being taken over by Jews and that they are trying to destroy the Catholic church. The sexual abuse scandal didn’t happen because of Jews, but happen because we had bad priests who allowed their sexual desires do evil things. Those priests will be weeded out and they should be weeded out. We as humans have free will. God made us that way. We can choose to be either a force of good or a force of evil. They chose the path of evil and hopefully now that the light has been shed on their behavior that they will be thrown out of the Catholic church and no longer serve as priests.

As David pointed out in one of his posts, the church will prevail though we may be sifted.

Garfield, Do you believe in any higher power? I know you believe in the power of man, but do you believe in any deity? Do you think it is just by chance that we human beings appeared on the earth? Do you see any deity behind the beautiful creation of the earth, water, air, animals, and humans etc.?

  23. 23
    David Says:

Garfield, actually, I am obeying God, not man. But the pope, when teaching the faithful in matters of faith and morals is INFALLIBLE. And to obey the tenets of the Catholic Church is, by definition, to obey God in three Persons, and his established representative on earth, the Pope.

Jesus established the Church in Matt 16:18-20, promising there that he would. He promised that the Holy Spirit would come down and protect it, and on that Pentecost, he kept his promise. The Catholic Church is that church, grown up.

What God created is perfect. God created the Church, therefore, it is perfect. It’s perfection comes from Christ, though, not from the Pope.

  24. 24
    David Says:

Chrissy, so many men don’t respect your values because, for some reason, they don’t really respect you. If they did, they’d take the time to get to know you and what you are about before even heading down the road to intimacy. Sadly, we live in a soundbyte world, and a world where most have very short attention spans. There’s a skewed vision of what love is. They don’t understand that ‘charity’ and ‘sacrifice’ are two synonyms for love. Jesus sacrificed himself for us because he loved us. Loving someone means being willing to do ANYTHING to help that person get to heaven, even if it kills you. Our martyrs are saints because they gave the ultimate sacrifice a human can give. Love is a decision to make the sacrifice, not an emotion. Because of the media (TV, movie, print, etc.) idea of what romantic love is, and since a medium, be it TV or movie, really doesn’t have time to develop love as a decision, we are left with a spoiled view of love.
    I wish you the best.

  25. 25
    chrisy58 Says:

    David,

You are right the men didn’t respect me, but David I am not the only woman who men disrespected and was forced to have sex against her will. I think there are men on this earth who do not have real respect for women and that is why they do and say the things they do.

Not all men are like that, but in the WN world there are a lot of men who refuse to wait and once they find out they aren’t going to get any get mad and go find another woman who will give it to them.

Sex = Love to me. The nuns taught that sex is what brings love and keeps love in a marriage. By waiting and saving myself for the right man who wanted to marry me, that I was giving him a treasure. To many people sex is just sex with very little love. I can’t be like that. I have always felt I was born to late. This 19th century girl who was born in the 20th century and now is living in the 21st century, knows that the traditional values I was taught in the Catholic Church is not popular with the world today. Maybe that is why some people delight in mocking our Catholic/Christian faith and Jesus?

For years I have used food to build a wall to keep men away. As a kid I couldn’t drink but I could eat. When I feel safe and protected I can loose the weight and keep it off, but when I feel to pressured by men to sin with them or by their actions scare me I gain weight so that men won’t be attracted to me anymore and it keeps me safe. The problem with that idea is that it also keeps the good Catholic guys away too. I just hope that the right guy would understand about the PTSD and take the time to make me feel safe. It is always easier to change the outside than the inside. Plus I live in a stressful situation and I use food there too.

    Daivid says:

“Garfield, actually, I am obeying God, not man. But the pope, when teaching the faithful in matters of faith and morals is INFALLIBLE. And to obey the tenets of the Catholic Church is, by definition, to obey God in three Persons, and his established representative on earth, the Pope.”

Ok David please quote the chapter and verse from the KJ bible where god tells us all that the pope his representative on earth.

“Jesus established the Church in Matt 16:18-20, promising there that he would. He promised that the Holy Spirit would come down and protect it, and on that Pentecost, he kept his promise. The Catholic Church is that church, grown up.”

So you are actually saying that any other church is preaching in error? Please quote why the RC is this church?

“What God created is perfect. God created the Church, therefore, it is perfect. It’s perfection comes from Christ, though, not from the Pope.”

By using that rational can I then say that satan is perfection too, and HIV and jews?

    Garfield Says:

“Garfield, Do you believe in any higher power? I know you believe in the power of man, but do you believe in any deity? Do you think it is just by chance that we human beings appeared on the earth? Do you see any deity behind the beautiful creation of the earth, water, air, animals, and humans etc.?”

I believe in the power of the white man not man in general. No I don’t have a need to peg my hopes and fears on the assumption that salvation is waiting for me when I die. I can never accept that a ‘loving god’ would create a world full of war, hunger and moral degeneration and say “its of your own doing” when he could have created utopia from the start, made himself visible and tangible to man. Its a cop out to believe that all that is wrong is ‘evil’ and oppositely ‘holy’.

I believe what I see and hear, I believe in family first, then race.

    David Says:

I think Western men today in general do not know how to respect people, women in general. I was talking about you as generic woman as well as you in person. I used to be one of those men. Much more interested in the pursuit of copulation than in the person I was trying to do it with. Even when I married my wife, when I told her I loved her, I didn’t know what ‘love’ really meant. I was faithful, but I was in it for myself, not for her. I tried to live the right life in front of her, but was into pornography behind her bacjk, as society teaches us to value women for their looks alone, not interested in her as a person. I was at a crossroads and talked to a priest, who threw the Sermon on the Mount at me. He told me to read it every day for two weeks and come back and talk to him. After that week, I started the process of becoming a real man, a Catholic man. My wife is much happier with me now, and I respect myself and others much more. It’s a moot point because I have now committed to never marrying again (should my wife die or leave me), and if I become a deacon, I wouldn’t be allowed to remarry, but if I was in the market, I wouldn’t even think of soiling a woman’s soul by tempting her to have sex outside of marriage. Sex does not equal love, but it should be a total giving of one’s self to the other, and unless there’s a marriage bond, you cannot give yourself totally.
If the right guy is meant to come along for you, he will. What God wants done, he gets done, in his own good time.

I’ll keep you in my prayers, Chrisy. God bless you.
