My Thoughts for Saturday

My Thoughts for Saturday

This came from one of my Catholic Email groups.  I am posting it here because our Pope needs our prayers.

Dear Friend’s in Christ,
The message of today is part of the secret revelations that Our Lady revealed to the little Jacinta Marto. So what you read below, is a preamble of that secret revelations that was made known only to little Jacinta concerning the Holy Father’s suffering. This post will come to you fully on Monday. This is the 18th episode on the life of Blessed Jacinta Marto.

POOR HOLY FATHER

Two priests, who had come to question us, recommended that we pray for the Holy Father. Jacinta asked who the Holy Father was. The good priests explained who he was and how much he needed prayers. (From that time on, there was not a prayer or sacrifice that we offered to God which did not include an invocation for His Holiness).

This gave Jacinta such love for the Holy father that, every time she offered her sacrifices to Jesus, she added: and for the Holy Father. At the end of the Rosary, she always said three Hail Mary’s for the Holy Father, and sometimes she would remark:
–How I’d love to see the Holy Father! So many people come here, but the Holy Father never does! In her childish simplicity, she supposed that the Holy Father could make this journey just like anybody else!
We grew to love the Holy Father so deeply, that when the parish priest told my mother that I would probably have to go to Rome to be interrogated by His Holiness, I capped my hands with joy and said to my cousins:
–Won’t it be wonderful if I can go and see the Holy Father!
They burst into tears and said:
–We can’t go, but we can offer this sacrifice for him.

Garfield, posted in the ring and asked why I hadn’t posted that the Pope was going to be arrested in the UK for crimes against humanity.  I replied that I hadn’t heard about that before he told me.  Then this reading comes with a prayer for the Holy Father and I decided I wanted to comment.

Garfield, you don’t like the Pope or the church.  I believe your views reflect your feelings and that no matter what the Catholic Church did you would never like us.  Catholics and Jews have experienced hate directed toward us for our religion.

The Catholic church is not perfect.  We have made mistakes!!!  Catholics admit that the priests who did these terrible things and the cover up is terrible.  Many of us pray that God will weed out the bad and guilty priests so they can be punished and that good priests who did nothing wrong won’t be judged for something that they didn’t do.  We are doing all we can to protect children now.  When I sang in the adult choir we all had to have a background check and take a class, just so that children were protected.

The Catholic church does a lot of good in the world.  We have brought hospitals and schools to the very poorest in our world.  Our missions work is very important.

I will continue to pray for the Church and the Pope because we sure need them.  I also pray for the United States of America.

    Garfield Says:

Indeed Chrisy, the RC and the jews have much to answer for. You are correct, as an athiest I don’t believe in the divine. Regarding other matters of RC I believe the law of that country should deal with it.
