Did the CIA Deploy a Blackwater Hit Team in Germany?

German prosecutors have launched a preliminary investigation into allegations that the CIA deployed a team of Blackwater operatives on a clandestine operation in Hamburg, Germany, after 9/11 ultimately aimed at assassinating a German citizen with suspected ties to Al Qaeda. The alleged assassination operation was revealed last month in a Vanity Fair profile of Blackwater’s owner Erik Prince.

Darkazanli has been accused by Spain of being an Al Qaeda supporter with close ties to the alleged 9/11 plotters who lived in Hamburg. The Blackwater/CIA team “supposedly went in ‘dark,’ meaning they did not notify their own station–much less the German government–of their presence,” according to Vanity Fair. “[T]hey then followed Darkazanli for weeks and worked through the logistics of how and where they would take him down.” Authorities in Washington, however, “chose not to pull the trigger.”
This week, a senior lawmaker in Chancellor Angela Merkel’s center-right Christian Democratic Union called on Washington to provide an explanation. “If this commando really existed and the U.S. government knew about it but didn’t notify our government then this would be a very grave incident,” said the lawmaker, Wolfgang Bosbach.
His concerns were echoed in the US by Rep. Jan Schakowsky, a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. “This really is part of an ongoing investigation that I can’t talk about, but even the fact that there is that allegation, I think, gives one a picture of the degree to which Blackwater has been completely enmeshed in these secret operations,” Schahowsky said. “And, you know, at least the allegation that they are, I think is disturbing enough. And there is an investigation going on around activities like that.”
Dieter Wiefelspütz, the domestic policy spokesperson for the parliamentary group of Germany’s center-left Social Democrats, told Der Spiegel it is irrelevant that Darkazanli’s targeted assassination was never carried out. “If it can be confirmed, then this was a murder plot,” he said. The conservative Christian Democratic Union joined the Social Democrats in calling for an official inquiry.

Hans-Christian Ströbele, a prominent German Green Party politician, however, said he was unconvinced. “The fact is that the CIA can, for the most part, do whatever it wants here in Germany,” the member of parliament said. “The secret prisoner transports after September 11 showed that–and no one dared to do anything about it.” Try to imagine the opposite happening, he said. “Imagine if (Germany’s federal intelligence agency) the BND were to carry out a hit job via a front company, say in New Orleans. It would be a shocking occurrence,” he said…
Ströbele said he would call for the parliamentary control committee to discuss the allegations. He said one also had to ask “where the German intelligence services were.” After all, he said, “they are supposed to find out whether other services are romping about here.”
In an interview on German TV this week, Darkazanli said he was “speechless” at the story. Ströebele, the Green Party lawmaker, also asked for a probe about what the German government knew about the alleged CIA/Blackwater operation. “It can’t be true that they knew nothing,” he said.
This brewing scandal in Germany is the latest allegation to surface in what is a clear pattern of the US conducting clandestine rendition and assassination operations within the borders of allied countries. In November, an Italian judge convicted 23 US intelligence operatives in the 2003 abduction of an Egyptian imam from a Milan street as part of a CIA extraordinary rendition operation. Osama Moustafa Hassan Nasr, aka Abu Omar, was taken to Egypt, where he said he was tortured.

Yet another example of sinister forces within the US government, as always nothing will come of it.
It isn’t only the United States that have done things around the world that are sinister. The British government, The Russian government, etc. Most governments have done things that were not nice.
Why is it that the United States and Israel are the only governments singled out as being evil and doing evil things? Garfield the President of Iran who many of your White Nationalist friends support and adore has also done evil things. Look at what is happening in Iran now and the way he is treating his own people? Look at what the taliban is doing.
I am a proud American. I love America. I will fight to save her from this destructive path she is on. There are Progressives who love this nation and are willing to fight to save her from going off the cliff. Do we support the torture and other things that our government has done and continues to do? NO, we do not support, condone, or approve of those actions. I believe that Progressives are waking up to the true condition our government is in and will find the courage to fight. I believe that we boomers and gen x’ser have the will to fight for the future of the children. I believe we will find the will to act and do what is needed.
We love the America that we used to be. The America that we knew as children when President Kennedy was President. An America that gave the world and Americans hope and determination that we would make the world a better place. That we will to go to the moon. The moral vision to see and act to bring our country to the place that all Americans regardless of race would have an equal chance to achieve the American dream. He inspired us to do for others and to strive to be our best. America hasn’t been the same since that terrible day in Dallas. I was five almost 6 when that happen. I still remember and I don’t think that those of us alive who remember President Kennedy have ever forgotten.
Some might ask how does a five year old remember President Kennedy? I do, because he was the first President I remember. I remember him on the tv talking to us. I always felt he loved the children of America and was always thinking about what was good for us. I felt we could trust him. In kindergarden the teacher told us that President Washington was the father of this country. In my simple mind I thought since John Kennedy was President too that he was the father of all us kids. Then one day he was taken away.
He is still my hero after all these years. I think I fight the way I do because I know he had a great love for this nation and he would want me to pick up his torch and fight against all who would want to destroy this country by their actions or vision.
I believe that there is still time for Americans to take our country back from those who have hijacked it and have made decisions to do these evil and terrible things. We need to at least be honest and say yes, the United States is doing bad things right now around the world that we as Americans don’t like and work toward changing that behavior. Yes, we might have to do some deep housecleaning to get the corruption out of our political process, but Garfield, I believe that we Americans will find the courage and strength to fight. It won’t be easy because when one has power they want to keep it, but I believe that President Kennedy would want us to fight the corruption that has hijacked this government and retake this government for the people.
I believe he would want us to fight to restore this government to be a government of the people, by the people, for the people.
Chrisy the Kennedy family were no angels they had many skeletons in the closet, they were equally astute at manipulating the unions into voting for them and when the unions wanted the favours returned they where left out in the cold. Both brothers murdered by unknown or fringe killers, Ted never did answer what really happened at Chappaquiddick, so although they may have been average statesmen they were just like the other run of the mill on the hill. The CIA and FBI have been for years trying to clean up the image of the Kennedy’s with limited sucess.
If you follow man you are destined to fail.
All my life I have heard how evil and and terrible my heroes John and Robert Kennedy were. I don’t believe it because I know in my heart it is not true. Maybe it is the fact that they are from Massachusetts and my dad was from Massachusetts too and used to tell me stories of John Kennedy who was the same age.
I remember once at the Kennedy library that we were watching a film and my dad said to me he beat him. They were both into sailing and racing. My dad respected John and found him to be very intelligent and a good President. Robert he liked because he thought he was a good Attorney General. Ted no matter how old he was always the baby brother. My father was a Republican yet, John and Robert he respected and liked.
You can’t tell people who lived in Massachusetts who know the Kennedy’s firsthand that they are evil people. We know better. We know what they are really like and how much they have given to others. We have shared good times and remember the smiles.
Are they perfect? NO, but either is any other human being on the face of the earth. We all make mistakes, misjudgements, and have regrets on how we have treated someone in life. We must not judge other people on rumors, hear say and gossip; but take the time to get to know them and their hearts. We must always talk to the person first hand and not just listen to what others say about the person.
Do you know how many rumors there are about the Kennedys? Most of them are lies by people who don’t like them. Most of them are untrue. Most of them are half truths that are twisted to make the Kennedy’s look bad.
Sometimes innocent people get hurt by the rumors and gossip. When one asks for truth to verefy the so called evil behavior or crime that they accuse the Kennedy’s of; one is told that the proof can’t be provided. One is told that they just have to take hear say and gossip as the truth. Sorry that is not good enough for me Garfield. I would still do the same thing today and defend them and take the abuse again. I would still go through that Summer of HELL to defend my friends and I would still try and take the anger on myself so they didn’t have to deal with it; because that is what true friends do for each other.
I don’t listen to rumors about the Kennedy’s I still believe that they are honorable people who will come through in the end and do the right thing and join the fight. I still believe they will have the courage to face the truth and pick up that torch and FIGHT!!!!!! I am NOT READY TO GIVE UP ON THEM YET.
I don’t follow man Garfield, I follow the Lord Jesus. Jesus can use men to help us and to guide us on the path that Jesus wants us to take as honorable people who love our nation. I believe he will bless those of us who are fighting against people who by their actions and vision are seeking to destroy this nation that I love. I know what is right and wrong Garfield. I know what I must do as an American citizen who has a duty to protect my country from anyone who by their actions and vision seek to destroy this Union.
John Kennedy was the best President in my lifetime. He was murdered because he was a true American President who put the American people first. Whoever murdered him was a very powerful group of people. They were so powerful that they were able to get away with it. I am not going to get into conspiracy talk with you about the deaths of John Kennedy, Robert Kennedy or Martin Luther King Jr.
It is normal for people to choose heroes when they are children. I am not stupid because I chose the Kennedy Brothers as my heroes. I am not a bad person because i believe they were patriotic Americans who loved this country.
White Nationalists have heroes too. I remember in David Dukes book he had George Walace of Alabama for standing up against opening schools up to Blacks. Young White Nationalists hold David Duke as a hero. Some hold Don Black as a hero. Others hold Nick Griffin as a hero.
I am not going to say you White Nationalists are looney tunes for picking the heroes that are chosen by your side, why does the Right Wing have to lie and give me hell because I chose the Kennedy Brothers as my heroes at five years old. So what if I rejected the Right Wing views and choose my own heroes? What does it hurt if I want to walk my own path?
I know how the South and Right Wing hated them. I have heard about how evil they are for my whole life and how stupid I am to believe that there was any good in them. Maybe it is being abused over them that makes me more determine to prove that they were good men who were right in the actions that they took to bring Civil Rights to this country. That they fought for a moral imperative of all Americans in this country being given the same chance to be the best they could be. That we were not going to have a segregated America of having the races seperated as they were in the South.
I know Right Wing and White Nationalists hate them with a passion. They say the Kennedy Brothers destroyed America and were race traitors. There was true hate toward them. I think there was enough hate to kill.
As far as Ted goes and that terrible accident, I wasn’t there so I don’t know what happen. You don’t know what happen either because you weren’t there.
You only know what you have heard and I tell you that there is so much bullshit written about the Kennedy’s that most of it is untrue. I know what it is like to have the lies become stronger than the truth and people having to dig deep to find the truth. I don’t judge the Kennedy’s and I hope they don’t judge me. I know most of the things written about them are bullshit and I hope they know that alot of the things said about me are bullshit.
It doesn’t matter how old I get, I will always hold a place in my heart for John and Robert Kennedy, and I will always believe that they were true patriotic Americans who loved this nation and they would want us as Americans today to fight to keep this nation that they loved from going off the cliff. They would want us to fight and not just give in. They would want us to pick up their torch and get back into the fight.
Such blind following is amazing, there is ample evidence to show that they were corrupt, morally bankrupt and used people to further their own political aims. If you choose to ignore this body of evidence then that is your right, but don’t expect this WN to believe they we saviours of the world.
Perhaps its convenient to forget how your country got to the bay of pigs?
Garfield, this will be the last word about the Kennedy’s. I wouldn’t expect you to understand my feelings because you have never met any of them in person. I have. I consider the ones I met and spent time with friends. I defend my friends and I have always defended my friends because that is what true friends do for each other.

Are the Kennedy’s perfect? NO, but either am I. Friends don’t judge friends. We all make mistakes, but that doesn’t change the fact that as far as I am concern that this friendship will never be over at least from my end. Yes, we have had our troubles, but I don’t give up on a friend. I still believe that one person will face the truth and that we can chat as two Catholics and that we can clear the air. I will always be open and willing to do the right thing. I still believe in this person and I will always believe in this person no matter what. That is what friends do!!!!!!!!!!!!

Garfield, you talk about Bay of Pigs. I have read lots of books about it, and I know that the Bay of Pigs was something that he inherited. He trusted the Generals to be telling him the truth and in fact they lied to him. President Kennedy from the very start didn’t want to do the Bay of Pigs and said from the beginning that there would be no added support and the Generals lied to both the President and to the Cubans by telling the President that yes there would no American troops used and then telling the Cubans that yes there would be. The Bay of Pigs showed that the President couldn’t take what his Generals said as the TRUTH until he could verify it himself.
There is so much bullshit written and said about the Kennedy’s. I don’t judge them and I hope someday my old friend who had the most beautiful blue eyes and smile will someday realize the truth and have the courage to talk to me as two Catholics should talk to each other and resolve the problems between us. I have never judged him on gossip and hearsay or believe the lies written or spoken about him, I just wish as my Catholic brother and friend that he would have treated me the same way. Yes, people in the South, White Nationalists and people like my mother hate them with a passion. They hate them enough to kill. They didn’t want to open up the South and get rid of the Laws that seperated Whites from Blacks. They wanted to keep it the way it was. They didn’t care if they firehosed small children who were with their parents doing a peaceful march because they wanted to have the same opportunies as White people. To White Nationalists like you they were the evil people from the NORTH who made the SOUTH do the morally right thing. You don’t understand that it was the morally right thing to do. What does it hurt to make sure the every single human being has the right to get a good education, to be able to eat in a resturant, to not have to sit in the back of the bus because of the color of your skin. To have seperate bathrooms and waiting rooms. To be denied justice under the Law because of the color of your skin. It is terrible that we have White Nationalists(though in those days they didn’t refer to themselves as White Nationalists) to think that blowing up a church where 4 little Black girls were killed in their Sunday school room is the morally right thing to do. I think it is terrible that the KLAN in those years thought it the morally right thing to do to kill those young men who were there peacefully to protest the treatment of Blacks were murdered. For people of the South to keep silent about those crimes I think is terrible. For people in the South to justify those crimes because they didn’t like the NORTH coming down and forcing them to do the right thing. WE ARE ALL AMERICANS NO MATTER IF ONE IS WHITE, BLACK, BROWN, RED, YELLOW OR PINK. There is not two seperate Americas of one for WHITES ONLY AND THE OTHER FOR NON WHITES.
THE SOUTH LOST THE CIVIL WAR!!!!!! President Kennedy just made sure that Blacks finally achieved their FREEDOM THAT THEY WERE PROMISED AFTER THE CIVIL WAR WAS FOUGHT. One is not really free when they are forced to live in a second class society because of the color of their skin. One is not free if they can’t eat in a resturant because of the color of their skin. One is not free if they are denied their right to vote because of the South making laws that would be impossible for them to vote.
Yes, I know that many in the South to this day have no loyality to our government or the UNION. That is why they work to undermine our government and want this government to fall. They have no loyality and they hate this government. You have White Nationalist Americans who have a Southern viewpoint and still hope that the South will rise again and be able to have their own White Nation free from the United States of America.
The truth is that even before the American Revolution the North and the South were very different. The South wanted to keep slavery and the North like where my family is from (Massachusetts) felt very strong against slavery and wanted to abolish it. From the very beginning the North knew that in order to win that they would have to allow the South to have their slavery so that the South would fight with them as one. They made a deal that slavery would not be discussed for 20 years.
Even from the beginning of this nation being formed their was still unhappiness from the North over the slavery issue, but they knew they couldn’t really deal with that issue for 20 years. The North wanted a strong federal government as the central power of this nation and the South wanted a strong State government with a very weak federal government. That is how we got to the first two political parties of the federalists and the Republicans. John Adams was a Federalist and Thomas Jefferson and the other men from Virginia and the South were Republicans. Adams believed very strongly (as he was truly a man of Massachusetts )that slavery was an evil that needed to be abolished. Jefferson on the other hand being a slave owner from the South didn’t want to abolish slavery unless all the Blacks were sent away to one of the islands like Hati as he didn’t want any free Blacks living together with Whites. That is why White Nationalists and Republicans like to quote Jefferson all the time.
I have been studing this period of time because I wanted to prove SF wrong about Jefferson being a White Nationalist, but instead I was proven wrong and if I was a White Nationalist Republican he would be my hero too, but me being a Liberal/Progressive whose roots are from Massachusetts, Jefferson is no longer a hero to me. John Adams has become my hero for the Founding Fathers. Adams was the one with the passion and drive that drove the other Founding Fathers to fight. Adams is the own who asked Jefferson to write the Declaration of Independence because Jefferson was the best writer. So while it is true that Jefferson wrote all men were created equal that was not Jefferson’s true thoughts. He was writing what John Adams thought.
The North and the South has always had a very different vision for this nation. The South has always wanted to succeed from the Union with the North. The Civil War was fought over that. We still have people in the South today that are still confederates at heart and in their minds and hearts can justify their hate for their own government and their wanting their own government to fall. They can claim to be good Americans who are fighting for the ideals of the confederacy and the South and truly believe it in their heart that they are true Americans who are fighting for those Southern values.
In some ways the two enemies that President Lincoln talked about are still a threat today. They may have different names but they are the same enemies who threaten this nation. The Big Bankers and the South.
Why do you think so many White Nationalists are from the South and treasure the Confederate flags? Why are so many White Nationalists Sons and Daughters of the Confederacy? Why are so many White Nationalists even if they are from the North believe the Confederacy was right and the union was evil?
I do understand how White Nationalists justify their feelings of no loyality to this government. I understand why they can justify and claim to be good Americans who are fighting for their heritage. I understand that in their mind can justify why they work to destroy the American government who defeated the South all these years ago.
Why do you think the Klan started? It started after the Civl War by Confederate Soldiers who were not going to give up. They were fighting for their Southern way of life. Yes, they justify it by saying they formed the Klan to stop the crime that was being committed by Blacks. They say they are fighting for God, country, and family. In the early days the Klan hated Catholics. There God is different than mine. They believe in a God of HATE I believe in a God of LOVE.

I didn’t say you were lying, I am saying the truth that you do not know them. You have never met the Kennedy’s in person or spent one on one time with them. I have. I came to love and care for them as dear friends. They aren’t your personal friends, but they were mine and even though I have spoken to them in many years I still wish them the very best and hope they are happy.

You like many White Nationalists and people in the South hate the Kennedy’s because they were Liberals who did what they felt was morally right in fighting for Civil Rights. Of course White Nationalists and Republicans like my mother hate them. You will never see anything good in them. When someone enters my heart as a friend, my love for them as friends is there until the day I die; no matter what.
You don’t know the truth because you have never looked into their eyes. You haven’t spend one on one time and going to parties, riding horses together, and praying for them.

As far as topic to discuss in the ring, we can think of a topic and do the research on it. I just started a book by Madeleine Albright which is really good and I want to finish it.
Here is a topic. As I started the American History to prove you guys wrong, I am willing to after I finish the book I am reading now to research the Holocaust to prove you guys wrong and that it did happen. We both start reading books on the topic and we talk about what we are reading and what the other person is reading. So for the next three months we would be having a serious discussion and learning about that subject.
The Holocaust- You would take the side of it didn’t happen and I take the side of it did happen.
I am not going to be talking to you about the Kennedy’s anymore. I will not approve anymore posts on the Kennedy’s. You have your thoughts and I am not going to change your mind. I have my personal feelings of friendship and I am not going to change my mind. If my mother could NOT make me HATE the ones that I knew in real life I don’t think anyone will. Like Miss Mellie I will never give up on them and will always love and care for them and their boys.

If we truly want to make the world a better place than we all have to start with ourselves. We have to look in that mirror.
Has someone ever ask us for help and we say it isn’t our problem? Have we known someone was suffering and looked the other way? Did we know that someone needed a helping hand and a place to stay for the night because they had taken hate and anger directed at us because they loved us as a friend so much that they took that suffering and pain on themselves so we didn’t have to deal with it?
It is never to late to change and do the right thing. It is never to late to say I am sorry. It is never to late to realize the truth and have the courage to face that person who was hurt. It is never to late to show that person you care.

Another nasty comment. Anytime, I stand up to you and say how I feel and you don’t like it; you act like a two year old. You get mad and say mean and terrible things because you don’t like the fact that I would defend friends who I have met in real life and spent time with. Again I didn’t say you were lying, I said that you don’t know the truth about them because you don’t know them in person. To judge someone you have never met based on rumors and gossip is WRONG. Yet, typical White Nationalist that you are when someone stands up to you; you revert to acting like a child with your nasty comments.
You had a chance to learn how to be a better debater for your side here. You will never really be an effective debater for White Nationalism as long as you act like you do when you get mad at someone for standing up to you. You are emotional and can be a loose cannon. I used to be emtional too and could be a loose cannon. Yet, I am trying to become a person who when they debate still is passionate but doesn’t let the other side get to me so that I act out in my anger.
Do you know why David Duke is such a great debater for White Nationalism? Because no matter what is said or whatever question is asked he keeps his cool and manages to get his points in that he wants to get in. David Duke keeps his head while the other side many times lets their anger get the best of them. So the result is that David Duke looks like an intelligent man and the other guy looks like he is emotional and a loose cannon.
I want to improve my debating skills so that I can be an effective debater for my Progressive views against you White Nationalists. Having you post here for the time that you did was a help to me so I thank you for that. I don’t feel that you learned anything so I feel bad about that. We could have helped each other learn and grow so that we would have developed into better speakers for what we believe.
We could have had a discussion on the topic of the Holacaust and you could have taken the position that a lot of White Nationalists believe that the Holocaust didn’t happen and I could have taken the side of the Holocaust did happen. Not only when it have been a learning experience for me because I would be reading books on that subject and then having to bring out into my own words what I had learned. Well since you don’t feel you are up to the task than maybe another White Nationalist will decide to take the challenge of proving to me that White Nationalists are right that the Holocaust didn’t happen and is just a big lie. I would have enjoyed looking at that subject with an open mind like I did the Founding Fathers.
Garfield, it took me many years to learn not to act out in anger. I got very angry years ago at a friend. I allowed that anger to cause me to self destruct. If I hadn’t been so angry I wouldn’t have left the Catholic Church, I wouldn’t have allowed Jeff in my life, and I wouldn’t use food to keep people away from me so that I would be safe. I know how to now channel my anger in constructive ways. You it seems have not learned that. Your pattern Garfield is to get mad at someone and than attack them with nasty little comments. You purposely misunderstand what they are trying to say so that you justify in your own mind that you have the right to make the nasty comments that you do.
I am learning that it is ok to be passionate about things but that it is important to never allow yourself to be a loose cannon where you are out of control. I don’t think you have mastered that lesson yet. I am not attacking you but stating a truth that I have learned by your behavior not only to me, but to others who disagree with you and you get angry with for standing up to you.
I am moving forward in life. I have a lot of good qualities and I am learning how to grow into the women I always knew I could be. I have a strong faith in God. I found my way home to the Catholic church and the anger is gone for the most part. For the first time I am getting some peace.. and accept that whatever happens that God will help me through the pain. I accept that if the Lord wants certain doors to open than they will open. If the Lord doesn’t want those doors to open than they will remain closed. I am happy no matter what happens because I know that what happens will be for the best. The Lord knows my heart and just wanting to see him glorified by being open to do the right thing.
I believe that as God’s child he wants the best for me. I would love to be able to go back to school and study Journalism and really develop my writing skills. If that is something that the Lord thinks would be good for me than that door will open and everything will just point me in that direction and everything will go smoothly. If it doesn’t happen than I know that the Lord has something else that he would like for me to do and that is ok. I am thinking of moving out of state. If and when that time comes I will have a peace and everything will just fall into place.
Garfield, the only thing that you believe in is you White Nationalism. You don’t believe in any higher power like God or as my Pagan friend would say in gods and goddesses. What will you hold on to when like many they realize that White Nationalism was one big lie. Maybe you will be part of those who never realize the truth and you will be a true blue White Nationalist until the die you die. Your race is your religion so therefore you don’t need any other higher power in your life.
I am not angry at you Garfield. I hope that you find what you are looking for in life. I hope that you and your family will find and be able to move to another place. No one should live in fear. I know what living in fear is like and I don’t wish that on anyone. Children should be able to live in a safe place with lots of love.
