Nearly 1 year ago, newly-elected President Obama promised change. Although he demonstrates more leadership on climate than any other President the United States has ever seen, the opposition is fighting him at every step. Obama needs to stay strong, because we need a real climate bill calling for real change!

The U.N. Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen takes place in early December and no one knows for sure if world leaders will agree on a climate treaty. But in the U.S., Congress is producing a real climate bill and we have to keep the pressure on Obama and the Senate to take leadership by supporting strong policy here at home.

Thousands of people will be affected by climate change unless we act now. A strong clean energy bill will create new jobs, promote energy efficiency and put America at the forefront of a green energy future. It’s up to us to remind President Obama to push Congress for the strongest possible clean energy and climate bill, and to rally the world around a strong climate treaty by traveling to Copenhagen in December.
