God Hates Injustice

I posted this quote on my blog tonight and I thought I would post it here because I wanted to write my thoughts about it.

I know there is a God and that He hates injustice. I see the storm coming and I see His hand in it. If He has a place and a part for me, I am ready -Abraham Lincoln-

I really like this quote.    They have a thread on VNN about Licoln taht I was reading.  Of course they aren’t to found of President Lincoln and said things like he wasn’t a Christian.  Yet, when I read this wuote, I think President Lincoln must have had a personal relationship with God because his heart seems willing to be used by God to fight injustice.

I know in my heart that God hates injustice.  Jesus was a very just person.  He reached out to the poor, sick, the outcast of the world.  He saw injustice and spoke out against it.  I can’t believe that someone who saw injustice and tried to fight against it would not know God.

There is injustice still today in our world.  Sometimes I wonder if Justice even exists today?  Then I get to the question of what is justice?

Why is it that the greed of the super rich is allowed to do things that hurt the inncoent like Mountain Top Removal Mining hurts the innocent people who have lived in those mountains for generations.  Who have to live with the effect of their mountains being blasted away, their water made unfit to drink and all the other crimes committed.  Yet, the men who for their greed lie to justify their actions that hurt others get away with doing what they please while they make others suffer.  That to me is injustice of 2009.

I think it is a moral duty for all Christians to fight against this evil in the world and all injustice that we see being committed in the world today.

I know that it is politically correct to make comments about Christians who on some issues are conservative and make it seem like they are against the environment and don’t believe in climate change, but I think for the most part that true Christians know that it is because of their love for God and his creation that we must fight to stop the injustice of what is being done in the name of GREED.

Anyway, this quote got me thinking and so I decided to post my thoughts because I believe that President Lincoln was a moral man.  I believe if he was alive today that he would fight against the injustice of what is happening today.
