He fought for the social gospel of Jesus like feeding the poor, helping the sick and those who were the most vulerable in our society. Yes, he fought for Civil Rights as we believe in equality for all men. No man should be judged by the color of his skin but on his character. He was against both the VietNam and Iraq War which many of us are against. He followed the teachings of Christ in treating the stranger in our land as human beings. He voted against late term abortion and I believe he would have fought to ensure that those of us who are Catholic would not be forced to perform abortion because we could not as good Catholics support or do it. So yes, I believe all in all that Ted Kennedy was a moral man.
I know your side likes to accuse him of murder. You don’t know how he suffered. I have some idea because I have a cousin once removed who was driving and drinking and killed a woman who was jogging. Danny has suffered guilt over that action and I believe Ted Kennedy did too. Danny hasn’t had a drink sense and straighten his life out but even after all these years I don’t think he has forgotten. So again you are judging someone not based on the truth or the facts but based on your preconceptions not based on reality but on your hate.

I as a Catholic have a much more deeper and personal relationship with our Lord than I ever saw or knew living with Christian Idenitity. CI was so busy trying to follow the Laws of the OT that they missed a personal relationship with Jesus. CI was like the pharsies that Jesus condemned.
It is knowing that God is HOLY and we are SINFUL. Yet pride is exactly what I found CI/White Nationalists to hold. Like Matthew Henry it says that the beatitudes respond to a desire in all human beings to find a happy life. They are the heart of Jesus’ preaching. They take up the promises made to the chosen people since Abraham. They fulfill the promises by ordering them no longer to no longer merely to be the possession of a territory, but to the Kingdom of Heaven.

I as a Catholic believe my neighbor is my fellow human being.
