Paths up the mountain

This came from one of my Catholic Email groups.  I really like it.  This is a new one as I had to set up a new yahoo account.  I think I am going to like this group.

What makes movements happen?  Like the feminist movement or anti-war
movements or pro-life movements or pro-choice movements?

It’s people trying to impress their own standards and values on other
people, not recognizing that we can all live just fine within certain
parameters.

I wonder how far we’d get in our spiritual lives if we spent our time
being encouraging rather than critical, studying and praying rather
than telling other people how wrong they are, watching our own lives
rather than judging other’s lives.

“There are hundreds of paths up the mountain,
all leading in the same direction,
so it doesn’t matter which path you take.
The only one wasting time is the one
who runs around and around the mountain,
telling everyone that his or her path is wrong.”
